This is the only Albanian digital explanatory dictionary software and it is for free. This dictionary has more than 41 thousand words and it is a part the project of QEP. It is very useful for everyone who speaks Albanian but even for them who don’t know it and just want to study it, learn and improve it. This dictionary helps us to understand better the Albanian language read it and write it as it should.

This dictionary can be downloaded here.

The menu of the software is in both languages Albanian and English. To change the language of the software go to Parametrat/ Gjuha (if it is in Albanian or Settings > Language (if it is in English) This software has a very simple interface and it is very easy to use.

1.) To search for a word we just have to write it in the [Headword] and press [Enter]

2.) If we want to look for a word that contains a specific term we write it in the description and then we press [Enter]

Freelang is a Dutch project started at 1996 from Frits van Meijden. Initially the project started with an electronic word list from the Dutch language toward other languages, but soon it got richer and richer with a group of voluntaries all over the world.

Download this software which is Albanian to English and English to Albanian. This is very light software

and dynamic too, you can edit word, add them create list which is very useful to learn new words.

1.) After the installation is done, you can use the Search button is used to find the words

2.) Create a new list is another option to make the lists and then practice them.

3.) And finally Add Words is where we add other words in the dictionary to enrich it.

Albania! Oh my mother! Though in exile I am longing,
My heart has ne’er forgotten all the love you’ve given to me.
When a lambkin from its flock strays and does hear its mother’s bleating,
Once or twice it will give answer and will flee in her direction,
Were others, twenty-thirty fold, to block its path and scare it,
Despite its fright it would return, pass through them like an arrow,
Thus my wretched heart in exile, here in foreign land awaiting,
Hastens back unto that country, swift advancing and in longing.
